A calm, organized home with warm natural light

Life Happens. We Can Help.

Most clutter isn’t caused by laziness or lack of organization. It often follows major life events—moving, caregiving, divorce, loss, retirement, health challenges, busy schedules, or simply years of accumulated belongings. We help people take the first step and build momentum.

What We Do

Compassionate, hands-on support for every kind of home.

Moving & Downsizing

Thoughtful support before, during, and after a move — from sorting to settling in.

Home Resets & Organization

Practical systems that make everyday life easier to manage and easier to maintain.

Overwhelming Clutter

A calm, judgment-free path forward when a space feels impossible to face alone.

Estate Cleanouts & Family Transitions

Compassionate help sorting through a lifetime of belongings after loss or change.

Hauling & Disposal

Trash, donations, and recycling handled start to finish — sorted first, so nothing worth keeping ends up in a dumpster.

Pricing

What This Costs

Most organizing companies won’t tell you until you’re on the phone. We’d rather you know now.

All projects are billed per organizer, per hour, with a four-hour minimum. Hauling and disposal are priced separately, below — you’re never paying an organizing rate for someone to drive a truck.

A Single Space

Half day · 1–2 organizers

$340–$680

  • One closet, pantry, bathroom, laundry room, or home office
  • Sorting and decision support at your pace
  • Basic systems put in place
  • Donations sorted and staged

A good starting point if you're not sure yet.

A Room Reset

Half to full day · 3 organizers

$1,000–$2,500

  • One full room — kitchen, primary closet, garage, playroom, basement zone
  • Complete sort and decision support
  • Systems built around how you actually use the space
  • Labeling and product recommendations
  • Donations sorted and staged

Our most common project.

Multi-Room & Whole Home

Multiple days · Quoted by phase

$85 per organizer, per hour

  • Several connected spaces, or an entire home
  • Quoted phase by phase, so you approve one step at a time
  • A typical phase runs $2,500–$6,000
  • Systems designed to work together across the house
  • Donations sorted and staged throughout

You'll know the cost of the next step before you commit to it. Never an open-ended bill.

Complex Clutter & Chronic Disorganization

Multiple days · On-site walkthrough required

$125–$165 per organizer, per hour

  • Homes with years of accumulation, chronic disorganization, or significant clutter
  • Led by organizers with specialist certifications in chronic disorganization and ADHD
  • Slower pace, more care, no forced decisions
  • Phased plan with a written scope for each phase
  • Full discretion — no photographs, and we work around anyone you'd rather not involve

This work takes more time and specialized training. The rate reflects that, and the walkthrough makes the estimate honest instead of a guess.

Hauling & Disposal — priced separately, and plainly

  • Trash load removed$400
  • Donation load sorted & delivered$150
  • Curbside placement for your own pickup$75

Every load is sorted before it leaves. Nothing valuable gets hauled off by accident. Anything reusable is donated to organizations serving people with disabilities, veterans, and people in recovery — delivered where it will actually be used, not dumped.

Why The Calm Home

We don’t just remove stuff. And we’re not just organizers.

The Calm Home specializes in helping people navigate the difficult middle ground between keeping everything and throwing everything away.

  • Grief
  • ADHD
  • Caregiving
  • Downsizing
  • A move that happened too fast
  • Years of accumulated belongings

As members of NAPO and holders of specialized certifications in ADHD and Hoarding, we bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every project.

What makes us different

  • We don't force decisions.
  • We don't pressure you to get rid of things.
  • We don't throw belongings away without your knowledge.
You decide what stays. You decide what goes.
Compassion first. Progress second. Judgement never.

What Actually Happens

1

Before we arrive. A twenty-minute phone call. No pressure, no sales pitch. If it sounds like a fit, we schedule a walkthrough.

2

The walkthrough. About an hour. We look at the spaces, talk about what you want these rooms to do again, and work through one small area together — a drawer, a box — so we can estimate honestly instead of guessing. Written quote within 48 hours.

3

Day one. We arrive with a fully insured, background-checked team. We start where you're most comfortable, not where things are worst. You make every decision about your own belongings.

4

As we go. Trash goes out. Donations get delivered. You'll see the difference before we leave the first day.

5

When we finish. You'll have systems built around how you actually live — not how a magazine says you should.

Discretion, Always

We know that letting someone into your home can be the hardest part of this.

Our team signs confidentiality agreements. We don’t photograph your home without your written permission. We don’t discuss clients — with anyone, ever.

If you’d rather we park down the street, arrive in an unmarked vehicle, or work with the blinds closed, just ask. We do it often, and nobody on our team will think twice.

You are not the worst thing we’ve seen. You’re not close.

Kind Words

From families we’ve had the privilege of helping.

I never thought I would ever see our dining room table again. The Calm Home team is one of the best crews with whom we have ever worked—successfully blending three separate households into one usable, organized household. We've already contracted them for Phase Two. 5+ stars if we could!
D, Lakewood
I would give 10 stars if I could! Beth and her team organized three rooms for me in one day, then came back to haul out the trash and donations. It would have taken me weeks alone. Worth every penny.
F, Warrensville Heights
Everyone was very helpful and efficient. I appreciated all your help!

Giving Back

Keeping Good Items Out of Landfills

Whenever possible, we donate, recycle, and responsibly rehome belongings to veterans, people in recovery, and families in transition.

  • Every load is sorted before it leaves. Nothing valuable gets hauled off by accident.
  • Donations are delivered, not dumped. We take them where they'll be used.
  • Nothing leaves your home without your say-so. Not one box.
